Experiences of the Afritech team
Since its inception in 2017, Afritech Equipment Solutions has grown substantially due to the high demand for its goods and services.
During the past twelve months, we have successfully completed key milestone projects that was executed during this time and based on the feedback received from these clients, Afritech Equipment Solutions is sure to only grow from strength to strength, to become the leader in the Plant and Equipment Rental and Supply sector.
Sasol Secunda September 2017 Shutdown
Afritech Equipment Solutions supplied most of the contractors executing work during the shutdown. During this short, but intense shutdown period, no standing or down time was recorded on any of the rental equipment. We also supplied these contractors with a large amount of their welding consumables, accessories and other requirements. Nico Joubert, Mpumulanga Regional Manager, together with the project’s technical back up team, managed and maintained the hired equipment during this period.
Natref Refinery, October 2017 Shutdown
We supplied the plant and equipment for all the contractors executing the main work scope during this shutdown. Our supply scope was from large diesel generator sets, diesel driven welding units, inverter welding machines and mechanical equipment.
Chevron; Cape Town Refinery; Regen Feb 2018
After successfully tendering for a term supply agreement with Chevron Refinery Cape Town, Afritech Equipment Solutions supplied, maintained and managed the Tool and Consumable Stores, as well as the Diesel Driven Generators and Lighting Plant requirement for the Regen duration.
Engen (Petronas) Refinery, Durban ; March 2018 Major Shutdown
We supplied plant and equipment and tool stores for the main mechanical contractors working on the various units in the Refinery. The standard of equipment that we supplied was of such a level that the third mechanical contractor requested we swop their diesel welding units which were supplied by another plant rental company.
Natref Refinery, October 2018 Shutdown
Due to our back up service, service levels and quality of rental equipment, Afritech Equipment Solutions once again supplied most of the total equipment requirements for this shutdown. We also had an onsite representation twenty-four hours a day to keep the service level up to the high standards that our clients at this refinery have become accustomed to.
An SLA – Service Level Agreement with a prominent international Oil and Gas technical services company was signed in May 2018.
This is a non-exclusive supply agreement where Afritech Equipment Solutions will supply rental plants and equipment for their various sites across South Africa. The contract duration is for twelve months.
PetroSA, Sep 2018 Major Shutdown
Afritech Equipment Solutions mobilized this project supply scope within minimal time and supplied all the required equipment, from small tools to diesel generators, PPE, both mechanical consumables and accessories for both the GTL refinery as well as the FA platform. PetroSA turned to us for the supply of bulk emergency items for the FA platform. No down time was experienced during the shutdown period.
Sapref Refinery , Durban , April 2020 North Zone Turnaround
We ensured the successful supply and management of the requested plant and equipment for the North Zone Turnaround executed during the level 1 lockdown period.
Astron Energy, Feb 2020 Major Shutdown
Our supply scope included supplying both the refinery as well as all the main mechanical contractors executing work during this major event. As an essential services provider, our projects team ensured that we had an on-site presence and supply capability during all levels of lockdown that was implemented to ensure our high service delivery standards were maintained during this unprecedented time.
